I need to combine a two-page PDF and a scanned signed page into one file for a submission due tomorrow, but can’t figure out how on my Windows laptop. What do people usually do?
had the same thing last month. i put them both into a word doc and saved as pdf from there. the signed scan i just inserted as a picture. tbh it was quick enough for a deadline.
- If the signed scan is an image, open it in Photos and use “Microsoft Print to PDF.”
- Install PDFsam Basic, choose Merge, add both PDFs, and arrange the signed page last.
- Save under a new filename and open it to verify all three pages.
I avoid online converters for signed forms.
We get this at the help desk all the time, so don’t panic. Easiest on Windows is PDFsam Basic, its free and offline so your signed page never gets uploaded anywhere. 1) install it, 2) pick Merge, 3) drag both pdf’s in, set the order, hit Run. The scanned page slots in just like any other page, no special handling needed. You’ll make tomorrow’s deadline easy.
On Windows, the simplest route is usually Adobe Acrobat’s Combine Files tool if you have it. Otherwise PDF24 Creator can merge both files locally: add the two-page PDF first, then the scanned page, check the order, and save a new PDF. Make a quick check that the signed scan is readable before submitting, since scans sometimes get compressed too much.
