I need to cross out a few lines on a 12-page PDF before emailing it back, and I don’t have a printer handy. Can I strike through text in the file itself on Windows?
had the same thing last month with a client pdf. opened it in word, selected the lines, hit strikethrough in the home ribbon, then saved as pdf. layout shifted a little on a few pages tbh but it was good enough to email. fwiw id start there since most people already have word on windows.
If it’s a normal text PDF, Adobe Acrobat Reader can add a strikethrough from the Comment tools, then save a copy and email that. Microsoft Edge also has PDF markup, though its tools can vary by Windows version. If the PDF is scanned, use the drawing/ink tool to draw a line over the text instead, since there may be no selectable text.
