I got a contract emailed to me as a PDF and need to send it back signed today. Do I really have to print and scan it, or can I just sign it on my laptop somehow?
had the same thing last month with a contract. i opened it in preview on my mac, added a signature using the markup tools and emailed the new file. windows users might get similar in the edge browser with its draw feature. tbh nobody complained and i skipped the print and scan hassle.
Yes. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, open the PDF, choose “Fill & Sign,” create your signature, place it, then save a new copy. Mac Preview has a similar Markup signature tool. Tip: keep the unsigned original. Avoid uploading a sensitive contract to a random signing site.
