I’ve got a stack of about 12 paper pages I need to scan, and every time I scan them I end up with 12 separate files instead of one document. My landlord wants a single PDF by tomorrow, so how do I get them all into one file?

had the same thing last month with some paperwork. check your scanner software, a lot of them let you scan extra pages into the same file if you don’t hit finish too soon. if you already got 12 files just stick the images in a word doc and save it as pdf. tbh that’s what i did and it was one document.

If your scanner app has an “ADF” or “multi-page PDF” option, choose that before scanning, then keep feeding pages until you hit Finish. If you already have 12 image files, most phone scan apps and Preview on Mac can combine them into one PDF in the right order. On Windows, I would import the images into PDF24 Creator or use the printer’s scan utility, then save as a single PDF.

I had this with supplier paperwork. If your scanner has an ADF, choose PDF and look for “combine” or “multi-page” before scanning; otherwise scan the pages, then use your PDF app’s Merge/Combine Files tool and put them in order before saving.
