I need to turn a few Word documents into PDFs, but the free option I tried added a watermark to every page. Is there a genuinely free PDF maker that leaves them clean?

had the same thing last month with a free converter that watermarked everything. tbh i just use microsoft word, open the file and save as pdf. it comes out clean. google docs works too if you don’t have word, upload and then download as pdf.

LibreOffice is probably the simplest free option. Open the Word file, then use File \> Export As \> Export as PDF, and it doesn’t add a watermark. If you already have Microsoft Word, its Save As or Export PDF option is clean too.

Word itself can do this: use “Save As” or “Export” and choose PDF, with no watermark. If you don’t have Word, LibreOffice Writer exports clean PDFs for free. For anything sensitive, avoid online converters and keep the conversion local.

If you already have Word, you don’t need a separate maker at all, just do File \> Save As and pick PDF, no watermark ever. I do this at the help desk like ten times a day. If you don’t have Word, LibreOffice is totally free and exports clean PDFs too. Google Docs works as well, upload the file then download as PDF.
