I have about 30 photos of handwritten lab notes taken on my phone, and I need them all in one PDF to upload to the course portal by tonight. Each page should be one photo in the right order, but I can’t seem to get them to combine without ending up with a mess of separate files on my Android phone.

had the same thing last month with some notes. i selected the photos in google photos in the right order then tapped share and print and saved as pdf. tbh it combined them into one file with one pic per page for me. if yours splits them try putting the images into a google doc first then downloading as pdf. numbering the filenames first helps keep the order.

Adobe Scan can import all 30 gallery photos, let you drag them into order, then save one PDF. Tip: rename them 01 through 30 first if the picker scrambles them. Avoid random online converters for lab notes since they upload every image, and check the final page count before submitting.

On Android, select the photos in your Gallery or Google Photos in the right order, then look for Print or Share and choose “Save as PDF.” It usually makes one page per image, but check the preview for page order before saving. If that option is missing, Adobe Scan or Microsoft Lens can import the existing photos and export one PDF.

On Android you can do this without extra apps:

1. Open Google Photos, select all 30 in the order you want.
2. Tap Share, then Print, and pick Save as PDF instead of a printer.
That spits out one file, each photo its own page. If the order comes out wierd, Microsoft Lens lets you import a batch and rearrange pages before saving. Helped a classmate with this exact thing at the help desk last week.

I’ve had this with supplier paperwork. In Google Photos, select the images in order, then use Print and choose Save as PDF; check the preview page order before saving. If that is awkward, Adobe Scan lets you add all 30 pages into one document.

If you’re on Windows later, easiest fix: select all 30 photos in File Explorer, rename them so they sort correctly (01, 02, etc), then right click and print to Microsoft Print to PDF, it’ll bundle them in order into one file.

1. Rename files first so order is locked in before you do anything else.
2. Don’t trust any app that reorders “automatically” by date taken, phone timestamps get messy and you’ll end up reshuffling everything.

Keep the original photos untouched somewhere just in case you need to redo it.

It is really annoying when the phone keeps everything as separate files. I have to combine field photos into single reports all the time at work. Just open your browser and go to [pdfcap.com](http://pdfcap.com) to use their image to PDF tool. You select all your pictures, drag them into the right order on the screen, and click the convert button to download one combined file.

@helen_wallabies That’s basically what I’d do too. The Google Photos print to PDF route has worked for me, and checking the preview before saving saves a lot of grief. If the order still goes sideways, renaming the files 01 to 30 first usually locks it in.
