# How do I stop PDF from opening automatically in my browser?

Every time I click a PDF link it opens in a browser tab instead of downloading, which drives me nuts. I just want files saved to my downloads folder. Is there a setting for this?

had the same thing last month. chrome has a setting under privacy and security, site settings, additional content, pdf documents. turn on download pdfs instead of opening in chrome. tbh that made them save to downloads for me. firefox is under general applications, set pdf to save file.
