I’ve got a bunch of screenshots saved on my Windows laptop and need them all combined into one PDF for a report. I tried dragging them into a document but the order came out wrong. Is there a simple way to do this?

had the same thing last month with planner pages. i just dump them into word one at a time in the right order then print to microsoft print to pdf. dragging all at once messes the sequence up like you said. renaming with numbers first can help too tbh.

Yep, done this a ton at the help desk. 1) Rename the files so they sort right, like 01, 02, 03. 2) Select them all in Explorer, right-click and hit Print. 3) Pick Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer, then save. The print dialog keeps the file order, so renaming first fixes your problem. I do this for my lab reports every semester, works everytime.

1. Pop all the screenshots into one folder and rename them 01, 02, 03 etc so Windows sorts them properly, then select the lot, right click and print to Microsoft Print to PDF.

Avoid trusting “sort by date” because screenshots taken seconds apart love to swap order. Keep the originals backed up before you start renaming anything.

1. Rename them 01, 02, 03 in the order you want.
2. Select all in File Explorer, right-click, choose Print, then select Microsoft Print to PDF.
3. Uncheck “Fit picture to frame” if edges get cropped. Avoid online converters if the screenshots contain private information.
